Indeed a legend. I put him with Del Worsham, Force and Kalitta as legends who bootstrapped themselves to success. This man started with nothing and rose to the top an extremely expensive and clanish sport. Do you notice his sincere appreciation for those who helped him? Well done Bobby. I would like to see a piece of Whit after the Windston deal.

He is a legend if you like it or not. Anyone in my book who changes the flow of a particular industry (this case NHRA Funny Car) is a legend by definition.

Good interview Bobby.
I’ve long been a Whit Bazemore fan.
He earned his way into the seat of a nitro funny car, and did fairly well. And I don’t blame him for getting out. He looks really relaxed now.
Plus, he has excellent photography skills.

Great job! I've always liked Whit's feisty attitude. I would like to hear more of what he had to say and I noticed that is was one of the longer interviews in the series.

I would also like to see a part two, the years after Winston up until he left the sport. Great job Mr. Bennett!

I can't wait. :)

Unfortunately I don't have any footage from our cruise night years ago where TH wanted a sponsor, was parked in Wendy's Hamburgers lot, and refused to fire it up for 300 people and some of the franchise owners unless the restaurant gave him money for nitro.....

So Buster Jackson fired up his new "Soul Shaker" Camaro and did a burnout through the drive-thru :D

the years profiled were what made whit; an independent owner. that is the real story. his years as a hired driver were good too, but not as good as coming up and doing it on your own.
