LS swap in 3....2....1.... :D

Really nice car; I have a '67 that someone halfway restored (nicely) but then lost interest. Just a non-original 302 with a mild cam and intake with less than 1000 miles and I intend to leave that part of the car alone. It's been so hot this summer I haven't felt like messing with it but now that's changed.

One persistent problem I see at Vegas today after the rain eases up is the ever-present crosswind, expected to be 25mph all day with gusts at 30+. Glad I'm not a PSM rider.

LS swap? I'll give it some thought....... OK, I thought about it. HELL NO!!!!!

How much interest have you lost in the '67 project? Does it need a new home? Just think how nice it would be to have that space back in the garage.

I keep repeating to my self: I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car.
Then I say: Tell me about the car?

As a retired contractor. They do have such things as garage additions; if you can’t say no. 😁

Why a LS swap, it’s basically a ford Windsor 302 with funny valve covers ( I’m sure GM has put there own touch on port designs of ford 302 heads, very good combo in its own right ) Alan I don’t believe you can ever own too many mustangs😎👀👍👍

Honestly a really good race today I thought. There was a lot of good racing, a lot of fast passes. Felt like a ton of holeshots. I was hoping Matt Hartford could make it a little more interesting in the championship but I’m glad to see Dallas do well. It was cool to see Justin Bond get the championship too after what happened last year.

I haven't lost interest in it; the previous owner did. Pretty nice old girl inside and out that's dependable and drives fine but it needs finishing. To hear the original owner talk it's running a $50,000 NASCAR 358 but in reality it's a recently built 302 that sounds wonderful but it ain't a GT500. I can do some of the work but because of my age and 108 degrees all damn summer long it's been spending time out back in the shop/garage.

I intend on sending it south to Weatherford, TX where a first-rate builder/fabricator has a shop dedicated to classics and restomods. Crewed on Connie Kalitta's fueler for a while back in the day. He's done a lot of work on my 56 Chevy that I'm about to get back from him and I'll likely send the Mustang down when I pick it up. I'd like to put AC back in it - the original AC dash is there along with the controls but a lot of the underhood stuff is gone. Also, add power steering which it never had (200-6 car to begin with).

If you decide to install an LS in that Mustang vert and I find out about it I shall hunt you down and have words with you. Ugly ones. :D

Would like to see finished pics, Carl, good luck with the build, have my 1965 f-100 at shop here in Texas too, GT 500 Shelby short block, crank, rods and pistons with trick Flo street performance SOHC heads, Whipple supercharger on lightning manifold, 5 speed manual, hope to get it back by spring😎👍

thought vegas eliminations yesterday was probably a top 3 race of the year, maybe even the best. close racing, holeshot wins,
and performance numbers were some of best this year. even though i watched the broadcast recorded, i only FF through PSB.
how about troy c. jr. with trip zips to take out g. stanfield. holy cow. and then troy straps an .026 on dallas in final, dallas answers
with an .002 and the win. incredible. ...... vandergriff closes gap to 39 points

justin picillo gets the monday diamond trophy and wins the SS championship!!
finishing the race in some categories this morning

TF is just a formality. Doug is 107 back only one race to go.
Most likely, yes - Langdon will end up being the Champion. But, if Langdon goes out in the first round at Pomona, and with Pomona being points and a half (I think they are still doing that, right?) then if Doug wins the race I think there are enough points on the table that Doug could be the Champ.

We’ve seen that movie a couple times before.

Speaking of that guy in the above picture, I wonder if Melanie Johnson has a Top Fuel ride in the near future? She's starting to get the hang of TA/D.
I sure hope aj doesnt leave kalitta to start a team again, put his daughter in a kalitta 3rd car
