Lannny Mclizzy {sp}

Why was Lanny shooting tire temps on Eddie Krawiec bike in semi's ?

Lanny may work for JFR, but he does help a couple of other teams (not sure if at a cost?). Can't remember at which event, but someone being interviewed after a run thanked Lanny for his help, maybe it was V&H.

BTW, it's Miglizzi.

While at the 4 wide earlier this year I was listening to the scanner, NHRA was talking about track conditions when Graham Light told somebody to go ask Lanny, so even the NHRA uses his expertise.

I remember when the cars were moving from 2 speeds to high gear setups, him and his dad had the trick clutches for those setups, and Lanny would be all-over the starting line all-day, every day giving support to their customers...even the hottest days, there he would be, in all-black, toting less gadgetry than he does now.....he looks like his pants are about to fall off everytime I see him now. He is the Track Whisperer.

Awhile ago I ran a B/D in Comp with one of Lanny's clutches. He would come by every round to talk about the run. He did it as a customer service but also because B/D cars are quite a challenge to get down the track. It was pretty fun to watch him open up his note book and read off what he noticed the car doing leaving and on the gear changes. Most of the time it matched up right on the money with what our data acq recorded too. He is a hell of a nice guy and I hear the same thing about his old man. Lanny would always send us the softest disks he could find when he would make a new batch. I would send him money but he rarely cashed the checks.
