Well Jim & Michael......Since I've been in this sport for some 40 years, worked at Fremont, Irwindale, OCIR, oh and Sacramento. Yes, I'd say I do know most everyone. In fact, I've known many of the current crew guys and even some drivers since they were little kids. My son has been on the national event tour for 25 years, the last 5 for Morgan Lucas.

What I was TRYING to explain is that when everyone starts attacking a team for letting a crew chief go, don't be so quick to state it's the team's fault, OR so quick to believe only one side of the story. There is just so much more going on inside the tour than the average fan will ever know......just as I'm sure there is in any sport and organization.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass. Just saying that "Yes" I really do know all the facts because I get it from the horses mouth.

No disrespect intended but you just did the same thing you are complaining others are doing. Yes you got your info "from the horses mouth" but there are always (at least ) two horses in every race and you only got info from one

Mel - In the case of the Lucas/Hogan deal, we'd already heard the "other" side from Hogan's interview. I didn't post on that thread because the Lucas family, Morgan and Charlotte, did. I'll try to follow my own advice better in the future.

I don't care what crew people say, they will never please everyone in racing, any day of the week they can read where it should have been done different, the crew is what counts, they know what is going on, as long as they do the best with what they have, thats what matters, I do feel for the Lucas crew as they have been through the ringer the past 8 weeks.
