Just for fun

I think all would agree, that we will see the first funny car 3 second pass at a national event in 2011. Just for kicks, the question is:

(A) who will be first?

(B) which national event?

Zappy, you mean official... LOL ???? Before the change to a thousand Hight, Papa John, Beckman, T-ped have all been sub 4.00 to 1000 feet, four years ago... with 1320 tune-ups. The magic figure is a low 4.65 or better 1320 time

Official, I'd bet Hight, Beckman, Hagan, Zippy, or Guido/Ron at P-1. Cars are about 200# heavier today.

d'kid

Force, Texas Motorplex, but only if north Texas is blessed with cool September evening air which does happen but normally doesn't. The old 'Plex can be an absolute gorilla track under the right conditions and if you know how to race it. Force knows how to race it.

3.99, Friday night. If not, I'm not sure I'd bet on a 3 second run anywhere by anybody, if for no other reason that teams may be thinking about oildown ramifications and won't be pushing quite as hard unless it's absolutely necessary.

Col. Mustard, In the Kitchen with the Candle Stick...

or, Hight & driving the Prock Rocket in Sonoma... Q-2

I was going to say Skuza, at his first race back; but I won't say that :D

Really, I think it's a complete toss-up. There's so many good cars. Everything's got to be just right, as usual. Will probably be Friday night; or maybe an overcast cool daytime pass. I think it will just fall into someone's lap and whoever does it, won't be trying to.....
