Just a record reminder........

A lot of folks will be at the lake, the parade, the picnic, ect. Don't forget to set yer recorders/dvr's.

So far I've found 3 different shows:
SUN ESPN2 11am - 3pm
Sun ESPN2 5pm - 7pm
Mon ESPN2 12noon - 6pm

WOW 12 hrs coverage of one race, I remember when we got 40 minutes per year.

Oh yeah. I remember as a kid waiting to watch Indy on Wide World of Sports, and I think it might have been late fall when it finally aired. And of course it was maybe 1 of 3 sports featured in an hour show.

'Course Don't forget ESPN3 (or whatever the live stream is called) FRIDAY at 6pm EDT and Monday 11am 'til it's over.
Between the 2 (weather permitting), it's going to be a great weekend.

Yer right. ABC Wide World Of Sports showed drag racing twice a year. (INDY & POMONA) It was a 90 minute show, but they showed
3 different sports. So that means 30 min for each, minus commercials, leaves about 20 mins for drags, twice a year = 40 mins.

I remember being a kid and eagerly waiting to watch Wide World of Sports. We would watch the whole show no matter what it was. Racing horses on an ice lake in Switzerland, Ski Jumping, celebrity bowling, Cliff Divers in Acapulco, Evel Knievel ... We would watch it all! It was just a bonus when it was something we were actually familiar with/interested in like Drag Racing.

Looks like my plans for monday have been made

That equates to about 3.5 hrs of commercials, 2 hrs of fluff pieces and b.s., 1.5 hrs of nitro pit reports during PS and PSM, 2 hrs for the Traxxas Shootouts, and 1.5 hrs to cover first round. So you've got about 1.5 hrs of enjoyable watchable content out of that 12 hour block! I'll take quality over quantity any day!

I hope the 1st hr isnt like last years, otherwise it really starts at 1 lol
