JR Todd Driving Al-Anabi Pro Extreme

JR was in Rockingham at the ADRL event hanging with the team.. i asked when he was gonna get a PM and he said with out hesitation.. SOON....lol...

suposedly he will be at some of the ADRL events next years racing... hope so.. kids a great wheel man...

He's seemed very apprehensive about getting behind the wheel of one of these cars in every interview that I've read. Hope he does well.

Unfortunately, the final wasn't what it could have been as Frankie Taylor had a fuel leak and had to be shut down after the burnout. Todd then idled to the win.

Definitely impressive to be in a final in your second race, though!

That's a badass looking car. Why this isn't mainstream NHRA I'll never know. '57 Chevy for cryin' out loud!

Not true. Todd's supercharger alone is rumored to weigh 2200. :) I suppose it's your basic Whipple but man, that thing looks enormous.

There are several of those Pro extreme cars that are at or barely over 2,000lbs! You can get away with it in the 1/8mile at 210 MPH, but take that thing to 250-260 and you would see some Dead racers!!!

Come on Joe, you are smarter then that. It's not like they are skimping on putting bars in somewhere. The cage and all around is the exact same as any other pro mod. I'd say there are some benifits to crashing a lighter car then a real heavy car.

Well I have never been close to 200 MPH, but I bet most racers would rather be in a 2,500 lb. Car when they crash than a 2,000 lb. One! If any racers want to chime in, I'm all Ears!

J R is good and has that magic too ! To get through the finals he had to make some excelent passes !
Local Dallas Racer Wes Johnson's engine blew and the blower took out the main fuel line filling the car with burning fuel.
Wes got a scorched fire suit and a little burned butt [ I'll bet ] but came out OK ! The Vette is totaled ! Pics on ADRL facebook !

Arabian Drag Racing League ! They put on some serious racing over there !

Frankie Taylor from Houston collected $ 10,000 twice for setting low et and high MPH both ends of the PX class.
The Jeffers built car can be bought for $ 300.000 ! 3.61 @ 211 ! I think he also went 3.58 or something crazy like that ! They don't call him the " Mad Man " for no reason.
