MOHNTON, Pa. -- A beautiful race day turned out well for the Quarter-Max Mopar Dodge Stratus team. Despite a tired engine, Rickie Jones made the field with a 6.679 at 206.29.

"We're in for another show," says Jones. "It's great to know that this rookie team has qualified for every event we've entered, but one. It's a tough game, and this team is working really hard to be competitive. The hard work is definitely paying off. We're all improving individually, and as a whole. Even making it into the show is a big deal and I'm excited that we're doing that consistently. This Quarter-Max Dodge Stratus has made some good runs this weekend. The motor has a lot of runs on it, so we're taking it a little easy, but we're having it rebuilt after this race and hopefully we can find some more power before Indy."

Jones is scheduled to meet up with number one qualifier, Greg Anderson, in Sunday's eliminations.

"We've run Greg a couple times already and he's come out on top. Maybe tomorrow will be my turn," says Jones with a grin. "We're going to keep to our same game plan and make a steady run and try to beat him off the line. We'll see what happens. I'm looking forward to the race. I want to thank all the fans for coming out and supporting us this weekend. These Pennsylvania fans have really been great. I also want to say a special thanks to Adam and Adam with Penske Racing Shocks. This is their home event and we're glad to have them here."

The Quarter-Max Mopar Dodge Stratus team would also like to thank Strange Engineering, Mopar Performance, Aurora Bearing, Browell Bellhousing, C&R Radiators, Computech, Davis Custom Carts, Drag Racing Online.com, Goodridge Hose & Fittings, Impact Racing, Inland Empire Driveline, Intercomp, Kirkman Composites, Larry Morgan Racing, Lucas Oil, Magna Fuel, Meziere, MSD Ignition, PAC Springs, Pro Jack, Pro Stock Cars.com, RacingJunk.com Classified Ads, Ram Clutches, S&D Enterprises, Sticker Dude Designs, Suspension Spring Specialties, and XS Power.
