I've been trying to trace Joe Satmary's history after he quit racing. I know he ended up in some trouble after racing and passed away in 96.

The "We-Haul" Camaro had a legendary following in the Chicagoland area similar to Mr. Norm's or the Chi-Town Hustler.

Can anybody fill in the blanks?

I do believe there is a group that runs a We-Haul 65 chevelle that was perhaps involved in the original car. I'll see what I can find.

Since the passing of Joe, his partner Mike Seltzer has ran a 1964 chevelle also called We-Haul. He runs nostalgia super stock that turns constant 8.60s at 156 mph. His partner and driver Bill White also was a friend of Joes.
The hay days of Satmary and Seltzer are still talked about and remembered today. Mike and Bill are racing in Norwalk this weekend, putting on a show at the Pontiac Nationals. We just did a LS conversion / with a 5 speed to Bills S10 truck and Mike is building a track T roadster with a aluminum buick 215 V8. We build and work on things daily in the garage and I learn some performance tips that really work...
