So is everyone going to comment about Brandon diving for Morgan?

maybe brandon did go in the tank, but u have to extend ML the benefit of the doubt since they dont have a history of tanking, of course i dont believe they have ever been in a situation that required it. Lucas sponsors brandons car so they have got nothing to lose by instructing brandons team to laydown

Dont flatter yourself, do you really think Nitromater has that big of an impact on corporate America's decisions? Do you really think a company is going to base its decision on what one person said on a website that maybe 50 view?

Toby I have first hand knowledge that both current sponsors and potential sponsors check social media. Not just drag racing but Indy car and NASCAR.

I know of a racer who for legal reasons I won't say who or what type of racing. Who just a few short years ago was "passed on" by a fortune 50 corporation because of negative comments about him on social media. I was sitting in the board room of the company and was handed screen prints where it was said he had made negative comments about fans and having to interact with them.

Don't know how it is in Canada but YES indeed today in the US corporate America checks social media when hiring someone. Let alone when they are about to hand over a few million dollars.

Morgan said last night that after the crap storm that is in NASCAR right now he wants nothing to due with diving. I think Morgan proved his worth when Melanie needed a round win to make the Countdown and he said they would race heads up and they did with Morgan putting her on the trailer. It is really hard to prove a dive in drag racing, the only time you can tell for sure is when it is blatant. (Indy 09 with Force and Arend/Worsham Maple Grove 07 come to mind as obvious ones).

I read the paint scheme will be modeled after this:

Hey folks, this was meant as a jab at the Force fans on the board, nothing more, nothing less. I seriously doubt that any potential sponsor would look at my lame attempt at humour and make a multi million dollar decision from it. I'm fully aware of John Forces popularity, and his importance to NHRA drag racing, hell I even have a signed print of his hanging in my garage. I guess it's always been in my nature to cheer for the underdog in all sports and root against the teams that always seem to buy their success, unfortunately in racing cubic dollars usually win,I just wish it didn't have to be that way.

Are you old enough to remember when John was starving?

Anything is possible, but I tend to believe Morgan about his headsup policy. The more I listen to Morgan's interviews, the more I like him. He seems to be very sincere, and there's no questioning his passion for the sport. Nice to see him and his team have such a great day.

Was this true when Langdon was his teammate?

Even the ESPN guys and Antron were joking about doing what the guy that signs the checks says...Then Brandon goes out and smokes the tires..nope no diving there...

There is something about the Lucas's that you don't see from highly successful people too often..
I've never met them, don't know them, but they seem very transparent and exude character.
If Morgan claims this is their policy, I have no reason to not believe him.

John "Brute" Force? Absolutely remember him back then.Loved that Wendys vette. Always thought he should have kept that nickname, but I guess he knows a little more about public relations than I do. :)

JMO, I think he might have ditched the name because of Al Segrini's deal with Brut cologne. People were assuming John Brute Force with that beautiful Emerald green car of Al's Super Brut car, and not his own Wendy's Vette.
Personally, I wouldn't want to be associated with that nasty smelling perfume either.

It seems as though Langdon lost a lot of races, with the better-qualified car. Always made me wonder.

What ever you say Mickey!

As I said before, it's quite obvious you WEREN'T THERE, you didn't see WHAT I SAW! For instance: The 1969 'Nationals Stock Eliminator Final between Billy Morgan and Tom Neja. The crowd wasn't in the pits, they were in the stands, on their feet and roaring as "The Bird" worked them into a frenzy. It ain't like that, no mo!
