He was going to drive Haddock's car ,but Terry killed too much stuff in the dragster,so they didn't have time to get the F/C ready.

Jack was there.. the FC did make it to inspection..but needed some changes before it could run and due to the problems with Terrys TF car .. and the work needed to get the car ready for a run.. Jack decided to not run the car...
To qoute Jack... we would have been rushed.. and possibly had a mistake or two or just over looked something... and I (he) didn't feel like going to the burn unit that weekend"......lol ( thats Jacks joke for things not a slam Terrys stuff)
Jack is working on making the trip to run his car at Atlanta... .. he was hoping to make Houston but the money just wasn't there ....the parts are in place thanks to suport from a few Top Nitro teams....but he just needs a little more suport to help out... if anyone is interested let me know i can get you in touch with Jack... i think some people might be usprsed at what you cna get on Jacks car for the cost and what he can do with limited funds....

Not for nothing, but I wonder why you guys are always so quick to slam Terry? He won the IHRA championship last year and wants to compete this year. His heart is in the funny car, yes, but more importantly in drag racing. He is one of the last independents out here with enough balls to still do this on his own. Terry drives the semi truck to each race, works all day and night on the car with a volunteer crew and still runs a repair shop at home to pay his bills. Most of you guys think Terry is such an ass, but have you ever stopped to take the time to get to know him? He'll stop and talk to interested fans and kids when he can. But he goes beyond that. When was the last time a driver invited you into the pits and let you sit in their half million dollar race car? Terry would do anything for just about anybody, you just have to give him a chance to crawl out from under his race car and shake your hand.

Easy to drive,,,who you trying to kid. After the 1st 60-feet if it is going straight there are ALL kinds of things to do in there to keep you awake for the rest of the run.
First you have to have a good book, then a glass that fits snuggly in the cup holder. It you are racing at night you gotta have a darn reading light,,,what is so easy about all that??? :rolleyes

but like i said thats Jacks joke for alot of things..... heard him say it about his stuff.. and a trip to the salad bar at a local eatery...lol...
i've met and talked to Terry many times... was introduced to him thru a old buddy Brian Butler who use to help him some.. so no ill words from me....
