It's Official, Pomona Kicks Off 2027 Season (10 Viewers)

there is a good article on complus from yesterday i think. couple of brothers that grew up as little kids at cordova
with their family, then eventually they worked and raced there. now they are on the nhra tour, one with capps and one
with stewart. got their start on the tour thru former cordova owner gardner, and wilk. started out working for wilk. a really great read.

speaking of 2027. a couple of thoughts regarding the possibility of maple grove rejoining in same calendar spot.
if maple grove were to come back on nhra schedule.......
- could martin, mi race be held before indy? like this. norwalk - 2 week break - sonoma/seattle back to back - 2 week break -
brainerd/martin back to back - 2 week break - indy - 2 week break - maple grove etc. etc. etc.

....... or ....... will summer schedule remain unchanged with anticipation of and addition of new bandimere?

Hopefully Maryland could stay in the schedule equation. Would be a shame if the three new ones - Michigan, Maryland, and Rockingham get bumped out. Maybe that will mean only one event for Charlotte and Vegas. Will be interesting to see.

you forgot one of the new ones, SGMP. the place that now holds the nhra mph mark. zmax and vegas are already only one event.
all i'm suggesting is if maple grove comes back and retains it's spot on schedule following indy; instead of adding additional
post indy events, there is room to add an event, whether before or after norwalk, which is typically close to july 4th holiday.

Yep, there does seem to be calendar space if needed.

Along the same lines, whatever became of the new track in Kansas, that "took the place" of Topeka? Wonder if it ever did the necessary upgrades, what are the odds it could land a national event in the near future?

you are thinking of flying H? (MO) ..... IMO that place has potential. then again SRCA (KS) was just redone in all concrete too and has
just as much potential.

Great Bend (SRCA) looks nice. Only issue would be the lack of nearby amenities.
