It's Official, Pomona Kicks Off 2027 Season (12 Viewers)

Interesting, they moved Charlotte up a few weeks. In 2015, it was like the last weekend of March. The weather was pretty cool, but I loved it. It was funny, though, there were folks there from Georgia, Florida, and Alabama with winter coats and hoods on!

am partial to keeping the start in gainesville, but i get it, how do you top this.

This is great news. Back to the way it should be, with Pomona as the first race of the season. Hopefully they will keep the last race of the season at Pomona as well.

Mike Larson: Those are some really nice overall views of the historic Pomona (well, OK, it's actually La Verne as us long-time fans know) dragstrip. Thanks for posting them.

thanks jon. they are not my photos, just great pics that i stumbled across and saved.
i have a drag racing file of pics on my computer that is endless.
putting two races back into february will most likely create an almost one month break somewhere early in year?
curious to see if '27 season remains at 20 races? i'm thinking it will.

Great news. Some of us Midwesterners loved the trip to southern California in February. It was usually a nice little break from the cold weather, and we could thumb our nose at our family and friends for a couple days.

I heard this may happen a few weeks ago, I've already started to make travel plans.
