I only watched about 10 minutes today, but did anyone else notice Force NOT mentioning Castrol or Ford during his first round win? I mean, he almost went out of his way to omit them from his normal delivery. Strange.

Funny..I seem to recall him talking about both of them and how thankful he was for all they both had done for him over the years in one of his interviews.

Force said to tune in to the Charlotte race, he'll have an announcement on the teams future plans. Also, Robert said AAA just renewed.

Others..
IMO, I'm not sure which demographic Traxxas targeted with their sponsorship.
How many adult racing fans would it take to actually make Traxxas's investment worth it?
I personally do not play with little electronic toys, and neither did my kids.
I am sure some do, but I see their money better spent sponsoring the X Games where their exposure would fit their customer base much better.

Can't disagree but (and this is my only exposure) I was amazed at the business they were doing in the pits at Sonoma! They had a big display and some "Pros" driving the cars over some obstacles to demonstrate. But they had a merchandise trailer with what looked like 3 cash registers and every time we walked by there were people 4 and 5 deep at each one buying stuff.

Obviously their investment is big but those $300-$500 cars were flying off the shelf that weekend.

They got me for about $400 last year in Houston.

The thing is this.
They have to sell about 10K cars to equal 5 million dollars. Factor in their cost to build and advertise, my guess is 40K cars to make money.
Doable with their exposure from Force, and a couple of great years of TV exposure that they take with them.

But,
Traxxas cars are not like Beer.
We keep buying beer, food, oil and gasoline, and other necessities on a weekly basis, and every day for the rest of our lives.
You won't be buying a Traxxas car every week to sustain their ROI.

I would expect them do the smart thing and move to another sales arena to sell more product to fresh customers..
Work that arena for a couple years and move on again.
NHRA and JFR is fortunate that they believed enough in the program to give the NHRA a shot.

The initial investment of a Traxxas car is quite small compared to what you people spend on parts to keep them running, especially people that race them competitively. I know friends of mine that have purchased Traxxas cars at the racetrack and within 6 months have surpassed the initial cost of the car in parts. This is isn't to say that are poorly constructed, but the people that have them tend to use the hell out of them.

Why don't you email the Traxxas brass and tell them how much they are wasting their money sponsoring NHRA? They need to hire a genius like you!

What is the point of dragging up a 10 month old thread just to try and start an argument? Work a little slow today or did it just take this long to think up a response? Maybe it's time for you to hang out down at the mall with the rest of the teenage girls.

Sorry Mikey I just saw that comment, Sorry you thought my post was a waste of your time! I think teenage girls are a little more relivent in your case don't you think?
