Unfriendly is one thing. Fist fights are another. Guess he is trying to merge hockey and the WWE with the NHRA. WWE is a clown show and NHL is the 4th ranking major sport in the US. Great to try to model the NHRA after them - not!

I like the sentiment, but if we look at what’s likely to generate conflict, it’s staging which is the most pathetic thing to get pissy over. Don’t like getting double-bulbed? Do it first. Don’t like getting beat on a holshot? Leave first. Upset your competitor took too long to stage? Remind yourself tish happens and it’s not intentional.

Genuine conflict over a genuine grievance would be great to see but it’s going to take a John Force dive or Chris McGaha accusation to do it authentically.

Every time I hear a driver or crew member complain about the way someone staged I think that would be like a Defensive Player in the NFL getting a mic in front of him and complaining that the Quarterback on the other team tricked him because he acted like he was going to throw a pass and he didn’t.
