Interesting Alan Johnson article

Alan Johnson = Something to like.
Al-Anabi = Nothing to like.

Flame away I don't care.

Before I flame, I'd like to understand. What's not to like about a guy, who from all indications, has given AJ millions of dollars with few strings attached to pursue the technology he wants? I don't see the sheik micro-managing him, or climbing down his throat about the lack of success. It's hard to understand why anyone pumping tens of millions into the sport with few if any strings attached is a bad thing.

So what's your problem with him?

Much agreed. AJ has a dream deal here. I do not remember the outcome of the discussion though i remember it was a thread, but there's nothing that they even have to promote. What could you even promote, HH's money? I can't imagine there being much if any pressure, I think the contracts for all his teams are pretty simple, "Here's more than enough funding, now win." I do imagine that AJ had the discussion with Al-Thani (if that's the spelling) that he would be cool with laying the foundations of a new setup.

My heroes aren't the drivers, they're the tuners. I am a BIG Alan Johnson fan, and I root for the team where he is. If he was still at DSR, I'd be a DSR fan.

What I was impressed with is how the whole team is on board. Take their lumps, get their engine program together and come back strong.

Plus I want to see Shawn win his first national...
