Can someone in the area check the local city hall for any building permits?Those were my thoughts as well. I don't understand why they would knock down the old tower if the new one wasn't going to be built.
If they wer egoing to do anything soon, one would have to be filed and approved!
A new tower will be a lot more expensive that the real old one. Federal, State, and Local ADA and building rules have a lot more requirements. [Elevators, bigger restrooms, and on and on!].
That being said, new bigger and better "Sponsor Suites" would help pay off the costs over time.
There is no space problem and it could even be moved closed to the starting line, as there is a large open area between the old tower and the big grandstands.
