Indy 2026 (7 Viewers)

What's with the Funnies? 75 passes over all 5 qualifying rounds, the last two in much cooler conditions, and there were only 9 sub-4 second runs between all of them. With the ambient temp 75 and the track at 114, best of the weekend, not one car made a 3 second pass in Round 4. And only 15 cars in the race. So much for everyone's dream of a 3 second field... :(

'Sup with that, y'all?
FWIW! Four cars made three second runs in Q4. It was a hot weekend at the track. First round today should be the best conditions of the event.

Things that stood out at Indy:
Weather excepted, great program with so many classes, specialty races, legends, exhibition. A great event.
Tony not qualifying is a shame. Hope for a turnaround.
The large fields are just what the sport needed now. Kudos to all the part time teams that invested.
Speaking of, Zizzo always makes a really respectable showing. Impressive whenever he can show.
Maddi continues to impress.
Heading to countdown, lots up for grabs.
Still don’t like having no Force drivers in the sport. It leaves a hole. And Procks moving still has a strange feeling.

You're correct according to what NHRAs Live-Timing results say today. But that's not what the Q4 FC results page said right before I posted; I double checked it because I had trouble believing what I read the first time. Thanks for the correction, Chris.

Pretty shocked at the lack of racing coverage at indy,no ps motorcycle coverage for rd 1,no pro stock car coverage rd 2,nhra sure hates pro stock. All those rushed racing highlights so they can talk for an hr lol
the first hour of the coverage on regular fox was worthless to a racing fan. Apparently we aren't the audiance they were looking for.

If the person I was racing took the left lane, could I run on the return road instead of the right?? Might be better.

Excited for Richie Crampton, that’s pretty awesome.
Who was Crampton driving for? Or does he now have his own T/AD operation? If so, is he running out of his own pocket or does he have some sponsors? I don't recall seeing or hearing much from him since the tragic accident after Indy a few years ago with Lagana.

He was driving the car that the Noonan’s own, and the Samsel’s tune. Ironically enough, it’s his old TF car that he won the 2014 US Nationals in.

The only thing that comes to mind is that Fox decided to make the 75th Anniversary coverage more about the people who have made drag racing what it is over the last 75 years and not concentrate on the same cars we'll see 2 weeks from now. It annoyed me bigtime until I started paying closer attention to the interviews and then I realized what they were trying to accomplish.

speaking of the coverage, there's an old saying you should never work with children and animals. Well maybe you should add the Elderly to that list. Granted they are legends and its nice to here from them now and again, but an extended stint behind the mike is not ideal because they no longer possess a filter, as far as what they say or think. They had Shirley in the booth awhile ago and if i recall there was an some uncomfortable moments and when they recently had Garlits in the booth on the streaming broadcast, i had to turn the sound down as i snickered and cringed, as he was describing why women never or shouldn't drive front engine dragsters 😛 :D:D:p
