I just rewound and watched, John Clegg had the rear end come apart and he zig zagged a bit and then tagged the wall. Thankfully one of our local gals Kayla Mozeris made a good run because she might have been caught up in that deal had she not.

Talk about a long day/night in Indy. I'm just finishing up an 11 hour shift and I was watching stock an hour or so before I left for work.

couple of observations
- lots of repeat class winners. lots of killer combos.
- think there were 29 red lights in STK E1. live or die by the tree (SS running E1 now, 11am est)

pretty sure there were a handful of alternates that got in for STK Elims this morning; and i think, but can't confirm yet, that at least one of them got the E1 win.
indy is funny. someone breaks at bowling green or other race, and has to withdraw from indy; and usually has 2+ drivers waiting for their spot. entry list changes, then changes again,
and finally field is set. then you go there and hopefully don't break, and find yourself on the trailer before eliminations even start.

Yes #146 got in as a alternate and won 1st round. With a stick car too. Way cool

big congrats to Jimmy DeFrank with A/SA win and his 21st indy class trophy
and huge congrats to John Korish with his first BIG indy class trophy in the coveted A/S final
there were a few prizes up for grabs here.

It was a great day. Two of my favourite Stockers faced off in Rd 1: Curtis Rees in his V/SA slant-six powered '80 Dodge Diplomat against Tim Weinzapfel's R/S 283-powered BelAir Wagon. Rees took the win. Nice to see the Competition Eliminator guys running for a huge chunk of change. Shout out to Taylor Chomiski for making it to the semis. One of the best sights in all of motorsports is two Hemi cars launching with the front end in the air. Ron Capps Snake tribute car looks fabulous. Suddenly, it's 1970!

45 minute recap of round 1 on Fox. I get that it's for the casual viewer and a channel flip was involved but that was painful.

The new graphics are a nice upgrade tho.
They def know how to waste time, glad i recorded it lol. And the finals werent live like it said it was..

Part of the issue was a 45 minute delay after the first pair of Pro Stock Round 1 when Cristian Cuadra oiled the track. NHRA did a good job staying on schedule Saturday-Monday other than that.

Awesome Race!

Antron from #15
Capps in the tribute car
Hartford from #1
Smith taking out the Harley

I really wished they had mentioned the designer of Capps' tribute who is the Master of many cars, and a long time Mater and Friend @Dave Marek

Major props too all. 🏆 Congrats too all.
Now it's for keeps. 👊
