IHRA Tracks (5 Viewers)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it the IHRA/Cuttell actually own Milan, National Trail, and Dragway 42 outright. They are not in the process of buying them on a land contract, but have bought and paid for them. Correct? If that's the case, I assume that Daryl is still operating them and paying all the bills. So in reality the IHRA consists of 3 tracks. Right?

More than 3 tracks. Polaski County (used to be Motor Mile), Rockingham Speedway, Piedmont Dragway, Galot, Atlanta, Memphis and Topeka are all owned outright.

Topeka has a few select private rentals on the road course happening, Piedmont runs dirt drags and other events while the dragstrip is torn up, Galot is fully operational, along with Milan, Columbus, and D42.

I believe IHRA as a sanctioning body has little to do with the issue Cuttell is having. Most tracks that they sanction are privately owned and operated. Just like the many sanctioned tracks under NHRA has no effect on the pro tour.

Even those tracks you mentioned can operate independently.

Not entirely. The sanctioning side of things is muddy also. Has he been paying to keep the insurance current? Nobody is able to buy or renew memberships currently. Other than track management, there is nobody there to run anything else.
