If you think Top Eliminator Club's expensive...

That is not even close to the most expensive way to view the Monaco GP. You don't want to know how much it costs to park your yacht in the harbor for the race ...

Formula 1 is coming to Austin this November........the only problem is very few locals will be able to afford a ticket.......yet we bit*h about the cost of a Drag Race ticket..........their cheap seats start at $300.

F1 is definitely an elitist sport.

It ALWAYS has been.

I can't wait!! I will be there.

I was not aware tickets were on sale yet. F1 tickets are normally sold as a weekend package, so that would be $300 for all 3 days. When I attended USGPs at Indy, I never had a problem scalping tickets for about half of their face value ... but Indy was a much bigger venue.

NHRA does absolutely spoil us in 1 regard though ... there is ZERO chance of you getting anywhere near a car at a F1 event. Still, if you are in the neighborhood in November ... the sound those cars make ... how quickly they change direction ... the incredible braking performance ... it has to be seen to be believed.

Lastly, the crazy thing about Monaco is that there is nowhere you have a good race view. My best guess would be to sit in the swimming pool complex of corners on the harborfront ... you might see the cars for 15 seconds total each lap. But Monaco has always been about the event, not necessarily the race.

Man, I miss the Champ Car Series. I actually really enjoy the city street races

I'm curious to know, at which NHRA FTDRS races is TEC completley sold out...in advance mind you, besides Denver?? While I'm not prepared to pay 30 grand - I myself would pay a borderline-ridiculous amount to get Bandimere TEC ... but there's like a 2 year waiting list. You'd think they would expand it, or something.

At a more sensible price level, the Formula One(TM) Paddock Club is F1's equivalent of the TEC.

Last year's quoted 2-day prices ranged from a mere UK £2144/US $3339 (Turkey) to £3180/$4952 (Canada - why Canada always so expensive?).

That's apart from Monaco, of course (£3925/$6112).

Well, that is for two days ... and hey, you do get "Pit Lane Walkabout(s) at pre-allocated times".
