Drag racing is the rarest of sightings in any UK national newspaper, and certainly not in the left-of-centre Guardian. Kudos to Ida. She certainly has her stuff together.

Actually, she's a badazz racer, been doing it her whole life. I think that she'll be around for a while. Joe Maynard will find a way to keep her out there.

If speaking of UK papers, when will she be on page 6 of The Sun?

Ha ha. Famously, that was Page 3 of The Sun for decades, but I do believe they moved it back a few years ago -- more politically correct, y'know. Myself, I read The Times. Haven't seen a copy of The Sun in ages. Both are Murdoch papers, though, if somewhat different in style.

Agree with you about the Times, was the one I looked at while in college, then balance it our by reading The Economist.
I think Murdoch made the NY Post to sort of follow The Sun. He'll try to make his money from either side, he's non-partial in that way I suppose.
