lol...don't worry, Paul! Y'all won't lose me, but I have been a tad involved in some dirt track stuff as of late. ;)

I know, huh Tom? I won't be having too many $1 beers having the kiddos with me though. :)

yeah that dirt track stuff is addicting, track conditions in the clay are the great equalizer. Seems almost anyone can win on any given night. Just last night on TV I enjoyed watching the late models at knoxville and saw Tony Stewart drive over three racers before they put him into the wall. "barefoot Bob" McCreadie's son Tim won.

Awesome, awesome racing! We had a great time! I have to remind all my mater buddies....racing is racing! And we saw some great racing in the four catagories!

I have to admit my fave was the 'bandoleros'. Those little go carts with bodies raced hard. OK, I say that but they were in the 60+ mph range. They ranged in age from 9 to 14 or so. My goodness...those little guys were RACING! They had a little pile-up and I was sick until they all got out of the cars. I guess it was the Mom in me. There was one little guy who was on the track for the first time at 9 years old! He hung back a bit, but I bet next time he'll give it a little more throttle.

At intermission my son and his buddy (Mom hung out in the stands to let them 'do their thing') went down and talked to all the kiddos and now BOTH of them wanna find 10K to get going. OMG! What did I do? LOL

Kelly, glad you and the kiddos had a great time. 60+mph at 9 to14, WOW that must have been exciting 4 sure.
10K ?? ouch better get him a paper route, and a BIG one at that. lol :p;)

I've been going to Dirt track racing since I was 7, I even started a History of Dirt track racing album for Abq. that's almost 1000 pics! The Racers past and present, when you get emails from Grandkids of racers who have passed away or wives of Racers who have died it makes that whole deal SOO Rewarding!!!
