A great win by the Pens...and a great win for Hockey! Living in enemy territory here in Michigan it's sometimes tough being from Chicago and a Blackhawk fan, but not last night! Woo hoo!

And the Lakers win on sunday! The weekend will be perfect.

Not that I'm a Laker fan but I work with a huge Magic fan that cant shut up:D

THE FLOWER,THE KID, GINO,AND MAX!!!!! It's a great day in the new Hockey Town....Pittsburgh, PA. Now, if we could only do something about our AAA franchise:D

Congrats to Pitt. Everyone seems do be dissing Osgood after that loss, but Osgood had nothing to do with Detroit losing that game. The guys in front of him blew it. The Wings were just out-played, and the Penguins showed up ready to do whatever it took to get the W.

Chris; I've heard/read some of that BS against Ozzy too!!!
As I don't follow much hockey during the reg season, I can't comment on that but these playoffs I thought he was outstanding! Even in the 4 losses, I never felt that he needed to be pulled and he certainly didn't have 5 scored against him in any of the 7 games.
My only concern (Wings are my 2nd fave team) is his age and do the Wings have 1 or 2 guys in the "pipeline" to step in when it's time.

I personally wouldn't be surprised to see this match up again in the next few years.

WAY TO GO PENS!

Finally watched Game 7 on the DVR. I was rooting for PIT but I got scared when they had zero shots on goal for most of the third. Great game and a great win for the Penguins!
Here in Austin we're gonna get some minor league hockey again. Can't wait!

Transplanted pittsburger here. Following pens since first cup years. Haven't missed a game since NHL center ice. What a relief! I didn't want Crosby to be the Jim Kelly of the NHL. From now on, we can say Sid, Gino, Staal, and the Flower are Stanley Cup champs. Love to see #66 Mr. Buries it hoist the cup again. How many times I've thought they were out of it. But this team adjusts better then any other. What a story, Hossa leaves Pitt, opens the door to sign core players. Mid January everything looks bad, in comes Disco Dan, brings Kunitz and Guerin, go on a tear and not only make playoffs but get home ice against Flyers. Take out the top two enemies Philly and Washington. Make the Flyers look like bums, Make Ovechkin's shortcomings shine through, sweep Carolina.. then finish it making Hossa the scapegoat in his disappearing act. Love it!

First the Steelers, now the Penguins ... just an embarrassment of riches for the Yenzers. Next thing you are gonna tell me is they put french fries on their sandwiches.

Yuck yuck yuck. I can live with the Wings losing and even the Pens winning but not that overhyped punk Crosby UGH!!! 2 finals in a row and he doesn't show for either. Should have had the decency to let Melchin(sp) lift the cup first, without him they wouldn't have one.

Good thing about being a Wings fans is we know we'll be able to be in the mix every year. Hard part is expectations are so high that even a runner up isn't enough. The Pens just out hustled them

I am not a hockey fan by any stretch of the imagination ... but hockey does have the absolute best tradition with regards to the championship trophy. The stories are legion about what the players do during their day with Lord Stanley's Cup. My favorite story was about a hockey player who waited until he won the Cup to get married because the Cup was the "best Man" at his wedding. The wedding and reception pictures were fantastic.

I think this is a tradition other sports should follow ... every winning Indy 500 mechanic should get to keep the Borg-Warner Trophy for a day ... every football player should get to keep the Super Bowl Trophy for a day ... every baseball player should get to keep the World Series Trophy for a day ... and on down the line ...
