Perhaps, but he's preceded some of the best Top Fuel pilots on the planet to the finish line while driving for teams with much smaller budgets. It ain't ego if you can back it up, and frankly, I know it's a hotly debated topic but I like a driver with a little fire in his (or her) belly. Heck, some of Tony Schumacher's best post-run interviews were when he was spouting off about naming names with respect to other teams complaining about the enclosed cockpit. I was glad to hear him a little miffed for a change - we haven't heard any of that since Hot Rod Fuller spun him up a while back.JR's ego precedes him...
