Any good suggestions for hotels near the track? Haven't been there since '99 and used to stay 30 minutes or so away. Has anything changed, are there decent accommodations close?

I like staying in Indy itself, the city completely changed between when I first visited in 2011 and when I returned in 2016/17. The drive isn’t too bad and lots of good eating options.

Thanks Luke. I would like to stay close in case a few adult beverages happen.

I always stay at the Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites in Avon. Takes about 10 minutes to get to the track. Super convenient and lots of places around the hotel to eat.

we stay in the east side about 30 minutes from the track, usually save a few bucks on the room.

Also some hotels up in Brownsburg, just a few miles from the track up Ronald Reagan PKWY. & I74

We stayed at the Cambria suites by the airport, resturant and bar

My #1 and favorite place is the Comfort Suites next to the Wal-Mart in Brownsburg 5 miles from the track and right down the street from DSR and JFR. It is a very nice clean place with an awesome friendly staff, and they serve free breakfast. It is where a lot of the drag racing, supercross, sprint car, and nascar teams stay. I usually stay there about 3 weeks a year. But, when the rest of the team arrives for the U.S. Nationals we stay across the freeway at the Hampton Inn & Suites which is another nice hotel where a lot of the teams stay. The Quality Inn & Suites is next door and it's a little cheaper but still a decent hotel. I hope this helps you, but if you need any more info for restaurants, laundry, or dry cleaners I would be glad to help you out.

I usually go cheap on motels, Dollar Inn (136 and 267 next to Dennys) is around $60 a night, less if you get multiple days. Used to go to American Inn by Kohls but it got bulldozed! Adams Mark (by the airport) is nice, that's where they used to have the awesome memorabilia shows
