Thanks for posting this Mr. Doerrer, it will bring back some great memories.
At one time I had somewhere around 12-13 years of a Hot Rod magazine collection. Then I got married and you can guess what happened then.
Does anyone remember what thier first car magazine was? Mine was a Rod and Custom in a small format with the pages in the middle a greenish tint and cost a quarter. It featured Southern California low riders. I could tell you what year it was, but that would give away my age.
There was a little country store close to where I grew up and all of us kids would gather there at the first of every month and read the car magazines. Then one day the grumpy old owner put a sign on the news stand that read "half price to read, full price to buy" and he meant it. That's how I came about my first car magazine.
