After the final NHRA Top Fuel round in Pomona, California last weekend, will see the Fortuna, California native finish the 2008 POWERade Drag Racing Series in the highest points position of her three-year career - an awesome fourth and that is after coming into the final round nestled in second place behind 2008 Top Fuel Champion Tony Schumacher.
Will also became the second person in formal NHRA 1000-feet competition to run a 3.7-seconder for the distance this past season!
The 28-year old is officially the world's fastest female and will be keen to show Australian fans that and more come the battle for the Scott Kalitta Memorial trophy this Boxing Day.
Hillary became the fastest woman in the history of NHRA drag racing when she posted a 334.65-mph (539kmh) lap down the quarter-mile race track at the first of event of the 2008 season in Pomona. Will became the fastest female in the NHRA's new 1,000-ft. era by crossing the track timers at 315.49mph (508kmh) at an event in Richmond, Virginia.
The American challenge will be met by an impressive Australian contingent in a full ANDRA Championship round for points, including fellow female Top Fuel pilot - Amanda Shepherd.
With the full support of the Kalitta Motorsport consortium and renowned tuner Jim Oberhofer at the helm in USA imported machinery for the event - the results are sure to be spectacular!
