Billy - thanks for the link. Hard to figure out what is going on here. Robert gets in the car and it runs to 1/8th just fine, but John seems to think there is something wrong with "his" car.
1. Are the JFR cars McKinneys or are they built in-house? Could have sworn that Bobby stated chassis were built at JFR.
2. Regardless, are they all identical and does John have more than one chassis for "his" team?
3. Just a suggestion - put the Castrol High Mileage body on the chassis Robert ran at zMax and let John take a shot in it at Q1 in Dallas. It might show something.
4. If, as reported, all the JFR equipment is identical and crew chiefs share all information, this is NOT like DSR. Teams there have different chassis and obviously very different tuneups, with wildly different results.
I (obviously!) have no idea what is going on, but this weekend will be very interesting. If John doesn't have some really great results, the countdown will probably be over for him - JMHO

You're making it out like John forgot how to drive a Fuel Funny.................go back to the part where it says "They made half a dozen passes" and "on the last pass it ran well enough to qualify number one". Hardly sounds like he just jumped right in and the car ran to 1/8th just fine. I'm sure something else was involved within those 1/2 dozen passes.
last couple guys from the NHRA that tested at Rockingham went on to do well at the very next event... Krisher went on to the next event and quailified better than he had all year.. and Jason Line i believe won Vegas right after testing here.....
