Harper/Radford Team Confident at IHRA Texas Nationals

April 4, 2008 San Antonio TX After a successful test session the pro mod team of Billy Harper/Dennis Radford is feeling confident coming into the IHRA Texas Nationals. “We have 2 cars that are going to be competitive this weekend” said Radford. The brand new Billy Harper 2000 Viper made 3 passes on Thursday during testing at Houston Raceway Park never making a full pass less than a 3.97.

“The Viper has really come around” says Radford. “We had a good idea that it would make some runs and be fast but whenever a nitrous car is in the 3.90’s it’s a big deal. This is the car that ran 3.92 at the ADRL event a few weeks ago, so it was nice to back it up this week.”

“We are looking forward to a good weekend of fast racing here in San Antonio, and on Sunday we hope to be sitting in the winners circle” said Radford.

“We have Doug Reisterer hanging out with us this weekend, maybe he can give us a few of his speed secrets” said Jim Raynor crew chief of the Cuda.

Harper/Radford would like to thank Charlie Buck Race Engines, NOS, Holley, Radford Trucking, and Harper Industries and Promodzone.com.
