Radford won’t compete at Norwalk;
ProModSource Corvette sold
(8-23-2006) BAKER CITY, OR - Dennis Radford announced today that he will be sitting out the IHRA World Nationals.

Citing the current state of IHRA Pro Modified racing, Radford stated that he will be taking some time off to re-evaluate his future in racing. “I’ve sold the Corvette to someone who doesn’t want to be known at this time. I’ll be acting as Crewchief for Billy (Harper) in Norwalk. I’ll look into the possibility of competing with the other Viper at the North American Nationals.”

There’s been a general feeling among Pro Modified racers that the class is no longer as important to the IHRA as it once was.

Radford, who finished tenth in the IHRA Pro Modified points series last year, said, “I’m exploring my options for the future in drag racing. There’s been a big growth in the number of alternative series’ with national publicity in the various media. I’m not going to close the door to any opportunity. Right now I’m looking very closely at the ADRL series but we’ll see what happens.”

“Who knows, maybe the ProModSource Corvette will soon be appearing at a track near you.”
