Harper/Radford Motorsports find success in San Antonio

The Harper/Radford team found success from the old viper, making it to the final round against Jim Halsey. “This car has been around awhile, and is always fast!” said Radford.

“We wanted to run well and prove to people that the nitrous cars are still out there. The first all nitrous final in IHRA since 2005 showed the cars are still competitive” said Radford. “We are very happy this weekend, both cars qualified well, and when the new viper had a little burp, the old reliable viper stepped up and took over right where the new one left off.”

“It was a long weekend for the crew guys, but we have talented, dedicated guys with us and they did a fantastic job.” Radford was quick to point out, “We had problems with the 1970 AAR Cuda during qualifying and had to put it on the trailer, so we didn’t quite have the weekend we wanted, with both cars in eliminations, yet it was a successful outing.”

Next up for Harper/Radford will be ADRL Tulsa April 25-26.

Harper/Radford would like to thank Charlie Buck Race Engines, NOS, Holley, Radford Trucking, and Harper Industries and Promodzone.com
