If my father was alive today he would be celebrating his 84th birthday! And he would be just as devastated by what happened in 2001 as anybody. My father was a 26 year Navy veteran, he joined the military right after Pearl Harbor. The strange thing is I had NO idea his Birthday was 9-11 until maybe 4-5 years ago, My Mother just blurted it out one day while talking about 9-11 and terrorism in general. Dad passed away in Feb. '88 and who would've ever imagined such a date would end up as a permanent reminder of the dangers we face in this country!
