HAGAN QUALIFIES STRONG IN ST. LOUIS

Saturday, May 5th, 2007 - MADISON, IL--After 3 rounds of qualifying Matt Hagan has done exactly what he and his crew intended: break in to the top of the AMS Pro Modified field.

After fighting the track in round 1, Hagan made it into the top half of the field in round two with a 6.221 pass at 234.13 mph.

"We felt great about the second round pass, but the third was even better," explained Hagan.

Hagan managed to post an ET of 6.188 at 234.86 mph, positioning him just above Josh Hernandez as the #4 qualifier.

"We're very happy with the 1968 TORCO Accelerator CAMARO this weekend," said Hagan. "We're going to go into tomorrow with good momentum and one of the best cars on the track."

Hagan squares off against Zach Barklage on Sunday as eliminations begin. Log on to NHRA.com or Matt Hagan Racing.com for information and results as they become available.
