RADFORD, VIRGINIA--Matt Hagan and crew will once again head to Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete in this weekend's IHRA Skull Shine Inaugural Sooner Nationals after the event was cancelled last month due toinclement weather.
"We were really pumped up for this event back in May," said Matt Hagan. "We had some great momentum behind us and we had just qualified in the top half three times in a row."
Hagan and crew have used the break from the usually hectic Pro Modified schedule to continue to improve their program.
"I think the break was good in a way," explained Matt. "We were able to regroup a little bit and get proactive on some things instead of always just reacting to what was happening around us. We were able to do some tweaking on the car and on our organization. I think we'll see a big payoff this weekend."
Hagan and the other Prom Mod competitors will take the lanes in Tulsa at noon on Saturday June 23 as qualifying begins. Elimination rounds will follow that same day at 4:30 PM.
"If anything we're more excited than before because we've had some time off now," said Hagan. "We're all really anxious to get back out on the track again. The only part of Tulsa I'm not looking forward to is the long drive."
