Hagan Expecting Better at Rockingham

April 20, 2007 - ROCKINGHAM, NC--After a very disappointing opening to the2007 season, Matt Hagan and crew expect great progress this weekend at the Spring Nationals presented by Advance Auto Parts and Castrol. Hagan and crew are encouraged after good test results from sessions at Farmington and during last weekend's ADRL testing in Montgomery.

Hagan failed to qualify for the TORCO Competition Plus Pro Modified field during the season opener at San Antonio due to numerous issues with car weight and handling.

"We started the season with a brand new engine/blower combination, and since then we've had to move to an entirely new car," explains Hagan. "After we switched over to the new car we only got a few passes in before San Antonio, and that wasn't a great race for us. Since then we've been able to test the car extensively, and we're making great progress."

Hagan and crew have been so busy testing the new 1968 TORCO ACCELERATOR CAMARO that they haven't even had time to re-paint the car. "We need the passes and couldn't afford to lose a week while the car was in the shop being painted. We've got some temporary decals on it right now, hopefully that will hold us until we get a window in the schedule to do it
right."

"This race team needs a positive performance this weekend," says Hagan. "We've had more than our fair share of setbacks this season and we really need to get some momentum going our way."

Catch Matt Hagan in action as qualifying for the TORCO Competition Plus Pro
Modified field begins on Friday, April 20th at 6:30 PM. Qualifying resumes on Saturday at Noon, and eliminations being on Sunday at 10:30 AM.
