Gatornationals qualifying order / live timing question

I understand weather situation at Gainesville, but what is thinking behind starting Mello Yellow with nitro funny car. Is it because of track condition? All Access working fine but would like to see live timing numbers held a little while because of the delay of the broadcast.

If a nitro car goes down the track, they don't have to issue rain checks.

Actually they are supposed to have a complete fuel session for the rain check thing. Plus Nitro cars kind of make their own traction between downforce and wheelspeed so it's actually safer running them first rather than Pro Stock or Sportsman cars, especially the Super classes that are on a throttle stop for so long and then go wide open at 150-200'... and of course they will put some rubber down as well

Mark Rebilas posted on FB NHRA sent two sportsman cars down earlier and crashed them both!

Top Dragster was first thing out this morning. First pair both cars crashed in separate accidents. Neither driver appeared to be injured. They cancelled the rest of the session and went straight into the alky cars.
