Gator Nationals 2026 (26 Viewers)

So, have we finally reached the point of no matter what they do to the track it is not going to hold ? First race it is not even hot yet and tire smoke the whole session. Maybe this will be the reason to cut power the show sucks. We can run all winter down south and have cooler track temps take the summer off.

Typical situation, rotate the earth Friday night and can't get down the track in daylight.
I say stop the Friday night circus and move it to 5PM.
It was originally scheduled for earlier, but the rain that came through during TF Q1 pushed everything back behind schedule.

I feel like all some of you guys do is bitch. Track is tricky no doubt but that was a very entertaining opening round. Drivers had to earn their keep in that round and pedalfests are always exciting and Im sure the crowd was buzzing after every single one. Anytime you get a low buck team upsetting the #1 qualifier, a promising rookie getting her first round win, any car could win and to show the track isnt junk, side by side 3s to finish the round.

It was a blessing that it got moved back. I don’t go to Q sessions with no night racing in heat. It just isn’t a good show when only 3 or 4 cars do a full pull.

On the plus side, the callout format is great. Adds some spice to a Q day.

Boy, the ladies are bringin' it in TAD this weekend. 6 of the top 7 qualifiers are women. You go girls!
And just like that, all 6 women were eliminated by the 2nd round of TAD. Not driver error, but everyone just missed the tune-up or otherwise just got beat.

Austin actually said something to the effect NHRA didn't dry the track well enough. He was clearly frustrated. Not yelling or anything, just clearly and understandably frustrated.
I get it, high pressure, emotions, and a microphone stuck in your face when you're down, but it was not NHRA or Hull's fault that a car is not qualified after 3 previous attempts.

They'll get it together. Prock has been one of my favorite CCs going back to the 90's. Random story but he always stuck out in my mind because at the 1987 Summernationals (might have been 1988 but my memory seems to recall the red uniforms) we were walking the pits and they were unloading Dick LaHaie's car. It was Dick, Kim, and a guy in the Miller uniform with the name duct taped over and "Jim" written in Sharpie.

And we have yet another real lousy first round of the fuel cars with very few cars getting down the track under power. What a disappointment. What is with the track conditions at Gainesville? Or is it really the track?

Let's see how long this relic from 2020 stays up in the suite mens room

did FS1 just cut our broadcast at 3:00est, in lieu of nascar pre-race show?
and did not announce a switch to another network? or even that it was going to happen?
..... or did rain move in prompting the switch?
