According to post by his wife Gary passed away on December 15th.

Am sad we lost another Hero, but he is with the Lord.

Had the pleasure of meeting him years ago at at national event. His "Fuelish Pleasure" Mustang funny car was one truely great looking car and I still have a poster of it that I bought at his pit space, launching at night, flames roof high framed and hanging up in my race room. RIP sir.

I loved his "Spirit of Las Vegas" dragster that he allowed Big Daddy to get his first 4 second and 300 MPH pass at Indy in 2001, just 1 year after Clapshaw runner upped at Indy in the same car.
