I have officially started my "bad juju" curse on Dark Side Racing (DSR) in hopes that they will not be successful in Gainesville. Lord knows I don't want my weekend ruined with an all DSR winner's circle. Any other team but them....PLEASE!!!! o_O:rolleyes::p:D:):oops::oops::p

I have to speak up on this one, even though I know it was likely meant in fun: There isn't a team owner anywhere in racing that deserves to succeed any more than Don. Over the past few seasons I've noticed all the things he does to help other racers, as well as the fans. Last year at Seattle, my son and I were watching Matt Hagen's crew warm up the car. When they were finished, someone at the DSR VIP area right next door invited any fan that could hear him to come over, have a seat and meet all the DSR drivers. Does anyone else do that? Years ago, I didn't really want to like Tony. I was a Larry Dixon fan, and still am. But after secretly hating him (again, in fun) I got a chance to meet him. He was pleasant, seemed to be a genuinely nice guy, and thanked me for being a fan. I can say I've met a lot of arrogant racers over the years (cough...Kenny Bernstein...cough) and half expected Tony to be the same, but he wasn't. While I like to see DSR work for a win, I'm ok with them being successful, after all they earned it.

You are sounding like my wife.........she is a MOPAR diehard, Hemi Charger, Hemi Challenger Dodge Cummins, but absolutely hates DSR. Will not cheer for any of his MOPARS. Her favorite driver is who ever is racing a DSR car.

This reminds me of the old Red Sox fan saying "I have two favorite teams - the Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees."

Edit: I am not taking sides on the drag racing aspect of this, just noted the similarity between this thread and stick and ball sports.

I don't really dislike any of the drivers, I just don't agree with "The Pot calling The Kettle Black" :) The Don had a lot of nerve saying that crap about Force, IMO.

Yeah, but it created a "rivalry" which is always useful in for PR stuff. Even the Arizona Republic printed that story. heh
