I have to speak up on this on, even though I know it was likely meant in fun: There isn't a team owner anywhere in racing that deserves to succeed any more than Don. Over the past few seasons I've noticed all the things he does to help other racers, as well as the fans. Last year at Seattle, my son and I were watching Matt Hagen's crew warm up the car. When they were finished, someone at the DSR VIP area right next door invited any fan that could hear him to come over, have a seat and meet all the DSR drivers. Does anyone else do that? Years ago, I didn't really want to like Tony. I was a Larry Dixon fan, and still am. But after secretly hating him (again, in fun) I got a chance to meet him. He was pleasant, seemed to be a genuinely nice guy, and thanked me for being a fan. I can say I've met a lot of arrogant racers over the years (cough...Kenny Bernstein...cough) and half expected Tony to be the same, but he wasn't. While I like to see DSR work for a win, I'm ok with them being successful, after all they earned it.
