Yes, but ... I am all for quantity as long as there is a fair amount of quality to go with it. As typical, the show will be same usual 16 suspects (give or take a couple).

Quantity is not always better then quality. "oil downs". Plus, the lower budget teams make most of their travel money from qualifying not from round wins. I think you would have fewer cars if you just let everyone race.
I would speculate this is the 16 that race on Sunday ... In no particular order
- pretty regular qualifiers at every event
- pretty stellar group of crew chiefs.

The way Cruzer has been running, I would take him out and put Paul Lee in, especially since he's going to be in a Kalitta FC!
Cruz has ran better, pretty sure he ran some career best numbers 2 weeks ago. Bode is the one I would pull off of that list and replace it with Lee.

Any way you look at it, if 25 Nitro Funny Cars show up, it will be the most to ever attend a race in the 1,000 foot era. It would be the most since the 2007 AAA Finals (26) and the most at Las Vegas since the fall of 2007 (also 25). Weather thankully won't be a factor this weekend, but you never know what might happen. Someone misses the top 12 of Friday and misses the setup Saturday and some of the "big league 16" can be sitting at the Casino on Sunday. Will it happen? Who knows. But you have to at least have the hope it can.

Anthony Begley is from Australia as well, Rod Bailey owns the car. Three Australian Nitro Funny Car teams there in total.
All have busted ass to be there so go and see them in the pits and say thanks.
