from fan, to crew chief

I caught the piece they did, about a fan of Doug Herberts, who while just a kid, shaking Dougs hand in the pits. Told Doug, ( I'm going to be your crew chief someday). I don't remember his name, but his dream came true. Does anyone know anymore about this?

His last name is Gaddy. Wasn't there a Gaddy who built race cars? Are they related?

Does'nt ring a bell. Looking at the picture they showed, Herbert looked pretty young.The kid looked to be maybe 17 at the most. Pretty cool deal, I would say. Thanks for the info Paul. Mike.
