One thing to consider. I remember this funny car racer back in the 1980's that just got a big sponsor deal. It took him nearly two seasons to get out of the first round. He finally did and started winning a lot. Oh, and his name? Kenny Bernstien.

.............Yo Kenny, sell the entire operation to some poor schmuck in England, buy a known working package from DSR and get back in the game.

Mark
Yeah, I thought DSR only had one of those packages left in their inventory, and it took Johhny West to get it "Known Working", someone that KB had at his disposal in the past.;)

At this point, what else can sombody do besides just keep looking at that small pool of crew chiefs out there that don't have a job?? Sure you can wave your wallet in front of some of the guys with teams now and doing well but most are pretty loyal and would not leave. Johnny West was a good find for DSR, (already been through the KB ringer) but.. what is really left??

bernstein shoulda kept walsh and switch the monster car over to top fuel. when kenny first landed the monster deal he commented that he chose funny car so he wouldnt have to go head to head against brandon in the bud car, but unless budweiser had a problem with that he should have just switched to top fuel, that way, they more than likely would have two competitive tf cars and plus walsh would be available for brandon whenever tim richards decided to call it quits !!
