Frank Manzo 5.437 @ 268mph.

I was wondering what Frank could do when he got conditions similar to what Bartone had to set the records. The record is back home where it belongs! Frank proves once again why he is the greatest ever in TAFC. Anyone want to take bets everyone else in TAFC category is racing for 2nd this year just like every other year in recent memory.

Alexis showed she has some ponies under the hood with a 5.48 @ 266 pedaling the car.

Don't care what the DRC reporter said there is no way she pedalled the car

Dean

Frank is unbelievable. When will he run 270?

It's supposed to get warmer Saturday and warmer still on Sunday so it is unlikely you'll see it this weekend. However...Words don't taste too good and I hope I don't end up eating them!

They run at 10am tomorrow morning.....I think it will still be cool enough to see a big number with temps only in the 50s at that hour.

He was 4.59 at the 1000 foot mark, which means that run would have qualified him 16th in the NITRO Funny Car....

Think about that, simply amazing.

I agree with that 100% no way could she of did that after thinkin about it. 5.48/266 the speed is just way too high to of pumped it

You can pedal it and still run speed. It kills the et, though.

Looks like Frank wanted to rotate the earth the final session. Maybe he was looking for a 5.39?

that's surprising, but i guess i can understand that but even with that said there's no way she slapped it running the 2nd fastest speed ever. I also figured if your running national record et or speed in any class your on a picture perfect run

That was my prediction. That or a .41 at maybe 270. He sure was going for something big. Conditions were obviously there. Alexis' .44 showed that.

I once watched Dale Pulde, who was pinch-driving for someone (forget who), strike the tires at the hit, backed clear out, hit it again and wound up with a 6.20-something ET...at 306 MPH. That's just the way it works. As for DeJoria, the guy in the other lane ran 5.82/256. I'm guessing he was the pedaler and someone simply confused the two. No way a TAFC can run 5.40s including a pedal; it's simply not possible.

Frank just ran a 5.432 @ 267 in round 1 and it sounds like the run was not perfect.

years ago I told someone TAFC's were in trouble when the number one qualifier was faster than the bump in tafc!. . .that's been blown away!

I think that it is a little skewed.....The Pro Mod field is the best of the best in the entire country, the TAFC field has a few of the big hitters, but also has a lot of hitters missing. I think that if all of the top runners of TAFC (Bartone, Payne, Gasparrelli, etc) were at this same race, this type of thing would not have happened.

oh yea. pro-mod blower vs. nitrus performance gap as of late has finally been fixed again. (for now) To me TA and TAFC tho I love to follow it, it's the better capable teams, and then the mid class fighters, then the guys who can hardly get in. The Parity is off at almost every race expect when you can get the ta bump around 5.40's and tafc bump at 5.70's
