In the Gulf Steam, Lear Jet planes is it common practice for passengers to strap down on take offs and landings. I ask this because Rick Hendricks was injured with a broken collar bone and other injuries but plane didn't appear to be damaged that bad. I'm sure it was a little rough after leaving the runway.

EVERYONE needs to be belted in for takeoff and landings. EVERYONE, no matter the aircraft, no exceptions.

Period.

For that matter, it's a good idea to leave the belt on during flight as well, in case you hit unexpected turbulence.
