For Bazemore Fans

I wonder what the neighbors would think if I mounted that up on the roof of the house??????:D

Think they'd complain????

Very cool. I remember seeing this paint scheme blow up big a few times in 93. I sometimes wonder why I ever liked that Daytona body. Looking at it now, I'm not sure I like the shape so much.

Thanks for posting Paul.

1993 bodies have got to be real close to the last bodies where the
side glass still comes down flush with side of body - personally i wish they
still did this - was it force who first rolled the edges of the pontiac body?
closely followed by camaro/capps?..... it's morphed into the atrocities
we see today

I remember this car losing a tire at Epping and taking a big chunk out of the side and of course, there were a few fires here and there. This was like the CHRISTINE of Funny Car bodies.

Also the one I think it was in Rockingham, but I'm not 100% - The explosion was so hard it put a hole in the race track. Happened in 93 that I know for sure.

Thanks guys for the history. I had very little knowledge of the fast orange car other than hearing from fans in drag racing around that time that he blew up ALOT in that car. This definately has had to have an effect on why Bazemore is such an excellent driver.

What a story.

Baze has this happen. The Worsham's (note the 1991 "Screamer" body in the background #750) take down their spare body off the top of the trailer...not upstairs in the trailer, TIED to the roof.
They get Universal Signworks from NH to put their sponsors livery on the car and spend the entire night readying the car for RD1 the next day.
1st round against Norm Wilding, they fire the car and before the burnoutbox the official see's an oil leak and shuts them down. Baze gets out of the car and just simply walks back through staging and down to the pits.

The pictures and videos you guys are posting are of the Ford Probe body. The Dodge Daytona ran at the start of the season and was burned to the ground in Phoenix and Rockingham. Also Whit was ahead of John Force in round 1 of the Winternationals but the car scooted over and hit the timing blocks at the finish line. I believe the rockingham fire was what prompted the team to pull the old Probe out of the rafters and continue until IT was destroyed in the major columbus fire.
