<P> Marstons Mills, MA – August 13, 2008 – The Follow A Dream (“FAD”) Top Alcohol Funny Car race team ends its summer break this weekend (August 14-16, 2008) at the 24th Annual Toyo Tires NHRA National at Maple Grove Raceway outside of Reading, Pennsylvania. It will be the first race for FAD and its driver Marty Nothstein since the Northeast Division 1 race at Lebanon Valley Raceway over the 4th of July holiday weekend.

Maple Grove holds special meaning for both FAD owner and crew chief Jay Blake and Nothstein. The Berks County track is where Blake, who is the only blind crew chief in motorsports, decided to follow his dream of owning his own drag race team. Nothstein, who lives less than an hour from the track in Orefield, Pennsylvania, took his first lap as a driver in a Super Comp car at Maple Grove for a segment on ESPN after he won his Olympic Gold Medal during the 2000 Olympic Summer Games in Sydney, Australia.

“It’s good to be back at Reading,” said Blake, who was left without sight, taste and smell following a May 22, 1997 industrial accident that left him clinging to life. “Every race is special, but this one this one means a little more because of the emotion associated with it.”

Blake added, “The team has really worked hard over the last five weeks to get ready for the second half of the season. The Permatex/Wynn’s/Texas Roadhouse 2008 Chevrolet Impala SS Funny Car will definitely be ready for the challenge that we’ll be facing. Hopefully, we’ll be able to build on the success we had earlier this year at our Division 1 race at Maple Grove.”

Back in May, FAD and Nothstein finished second losing to defending world champ and Frank Manzo in the finals.

“There’s no doubt that I’m ready to get back in the Follow A Dream Top Alcohol Funny Car,” said Nothstein, who is currently third in the Division 1 season points standings. “Racing in front of friends and family gets my adrenaline pumping. I know the team has spent the last five weeks working hard to put the Permatex/Wynn’s/Texas Roadhouse Funny Car in position to repeat our success from May at Maple Grove when we lost to Manzo in the finals.”

Nothstein added, “Because I know what this track means to Jay, I really want to do well this weekend for him. We’ve come close to finding the winner’s circle several times this year, and I’d love to get our first win this year at Maple Grove, because it would mean so much to Jay, the crew and myself.”

Follow A Dream has found quite a bit of success through the first seven races of the 2008 season. The team has made it to three finals, plus made the fifth fastest pass in Top Alcohol Funny Car history at Englishtown. In addition, the team was featured in the New York Times in a Sports Section cover story in June.

In addition to the Toyo Tires Nationals, Follow A Dream and Nothstein is making two sponsor appearances this weekend at Texas Roadhouse locations outside of Reading and in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
