<P> (9/2/08) - Tim Tindle has definitely been on an up-hill streak in the JEGS Promod Challenge with the help of IHRA World Champion Quain Stott and the Tindle Racing team. The 2007 NHRA Promod Rookie of the Year qualified in the top half of the field at the 54th Annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals and was recognized as having one of the most consistent Hot Rods on the property by an NHRA event announcer.
Tindle was defeated by Josh Hernandez in the semi-finals. Tindle had the quickest elapsed time of the round, but Hernandez had a slight advantage at the starting line, edging Tindle at the stripe.
"Man, this was just a great weekend," Tindle said. "We had one of the most consistent cars in the class and she went down the track every single pass. But, I hate when we loose on account of me. Quain and the team have worked really hard over the past few weeks and I fill that I let them down. The best has yet to come from Tindle Racing and the season is not over yet.
"Steve Engel is in our prayers. It tears me up when something like this happens to us racers, especially a good friend like Steve. Steve and his family are heavy on our hearts and I pray that he will be back competing soon.
Steve, a fierce competitor in the JEGS Promod Challenge, was injured in an accident while qualifying Saturday at the event.
Tindle Racing would like to specially thank TEI (Tindle-Enteprises Inc), MSD Ignition, Goodyear Tires, TORCO Racing Fuels, NGK Sparkplugs, Lucas Oil, and Huntsville Engine for their continuing support. For more information on Tindle Racing visit :: Tindle Racing ::
