I've been think about this thread today. Maybe just maybe the wholesome family friendly thing is not working.
I have heard people say the sport needs to attract young people. What do young people buy? Do they buy family friendly? To current adults when you were young did you buy family friendly?
Why not ask Jesse James about marketing he has successfully sold to young people in today's market without going PC or family friendly. It was not that long ago that west coast choppers merchandise was everywhere. Building bikes was only a small part of what he did. He sold a brand and did very well at it.
