Friday Qualifying & maybe Monday
Sat & Sun does not look good.
Now I have to wait another year, that SUX!

I know...Hanna needs to go blow and rain somewhere else...like out 2 sea. we're here...and I hope that we get it all in...

tear 'em up for me kathy , kevin going to run td there??? my buddy jack webster is a reg at that track look him up and tell'em u know scuba, runs 10.90 car is duster called slow poke . pete divita is reg there as well ( hope i spelled your last name right pete)and his brother wayne . tell jack to intro to big dave , wish i was there i loved it the first time . might we have a george queen and doug palmer sighting there as well??? only time will tell??? keep me posted AND STAY OUTTA TROUBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Saturday will be a washout. The most recent report I heard called for clearing late morning on Sunday with sun in the afternoon.
If Saturday is a washout (I don't even plan to drive up there from R.I. tomorrow) will Saturday tickets be honored on Sunday with eliminations pushed to Monday? It seems to me that Saturday is the biggest draw at Epping drawing lots of families for the Night of Fire. If they lose Saturday's gate up there they will be taking a real financial hit.

Thanks for the kind words Steve, but we won't be running this year...Jack should be running Box ET

IHRA this season stands for It Has Rained Again.

Those guys have been taking a beating with the weather at almost every single race this year. It sucks.

Hoping for a miracle this weekend up in NH.

Yes steve, I plan on heading out of the office at about 3 pm for the later qualifying. I havent heard from Doug for a long while now, but hope to maybe run into him, as he is to big to run over. lol

Not sure if it is worth going on sat or sunday

I will have a camera and could post some pics from todays session.

FYI DRC notes a likely 8PM nitro round.
I just got off the phone with NED and they estimated 7PM and only -one- nitro round tonight.

How thin was the crowd, George, given the late announcement of the Friday nitro round?
Stayed home today. Watching the radar, hoping I bet right and I get my $90 back. It was a very wet night and they are trying to dry the track up there with 100% cloud cover, fog and 95%+ humidity hoping to get on the track around noon and squeeze in one pro round. One good shower and they will be done for.
My apologies to anyone who headed there, but today I'm pulling for the rain.

First cars hit the track @ 11:30, Pro's moved up to 1:00pm, looking good so far, guess we'll see what the day brings.

Been @ this too long I guess, raced too many days when the forecast was 100%, been rained out too often with a 20%. Best remedy I've ever found is be @ the track and ready to race.

Maybe so. Best of luck.
Right now I am watching a band of showers moving up toward Lowell with several more patches behind it. THose showers are worth $90 to me right now.

David, the crowd was very thin. There were no people sitting on the left side of the track and there were still plenty of seats left on pitside. We arrived late, just about 6:15 and we got to park in the front lot, with about 5 more rows to fill behind us. Didnt see anyone having to park in the upper lot. I raced 2 Nostalgia events there this year and it seems people dont have the extra money to go to the tracks this year.

5PM, Hanna has arrived, day @ Epping is complete.
One Pro session completed today, fields are set, schedule for tomorrow is to start approximately 10am (conditions permitting) with sportsman cars and then the Pro's at 11 has scheduled. Forecast for tomorrow looks to be good, and we'll run till we're done, see you then.

Your wish of luck worked and cost you your $90.00.

I applaud the decisions of IHRA to move the nitro sessions up and give everyone as good a chance as they could to qualify and to get the event ran this weekend to save everyone extra travel expenses. I know it is hurting IHRA's profits, and that is why the decisions are so worthy of merit in my book.

Another good session today before Hanna hit with all her might. Hate to see the small crowds due to the weather but hopefully folks will come tomorrow as so far the racing's been great!!

Sunday had the biggest crowd for eliminations that I've ever seen for this event. The stands were full. Normally on Sunday it's close friends and family.
New England Dragway staff did a great job getting the place ready to race after 3 inch's of rain.
Unfortunately there were no ScubaSteve sightings. Didn't get to ask Unkefer if he could do a "scuba shot".
